It was so great to get back out and play with everyone on Sunday - we all had a blast! We could not have asked for better weather and the Exec Course was in great shape. The first tournament went well and had some dramatic moments for the players in the field. It was a close day for all teams and scores kept it interesting all the way to the last group in. The results were calculated using the Card Off format - taking the score from the last 9 holes. Dear Dogleg Friends & Patrons,

Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe we’re stepping into our SEVENTH year as a brewery. Last year was a whirlwind for us—becoming new parents while running a business taught us a lot, including the importance of pausing, reflecting, and realigning.

So instead of a long list of resolutions, we’re grounding ourselves in two simple words this year: purpose and community . Dogleg was created to be a place where people come together—to gather, to unwind, to make memories—whether in the tasting room or out on the golf course, all with a great locally crafted beer in hand. We're getting back on focusing on those things that we love, and we hope you'll join us.

In 2026, we’re excited to welcome you back with fresh experiences: new ways to tee it up both on and off the course, weekly favorites like trivia and karaoke, exciting beer collaborations, and immersive sensory events. We’re also proud to be partnering with local organizations like the to create meaningful events (see below) that give back and strengthen our community.

We can’t wait to share what’s ahead and hope to see you soon.

First Golftober Fest In the books!

The first-ever Golftober Fest was a blast - steins were full to the brim with tasty new beer releases, appetites were satiated with delicious food, tails were wagging and there were plenty of smiles going around - especially for European fans watching Team Europe closing the door on Team USA's day two matches. PRG Golf and True Temper Golf went head-to-head in at Ryder Cup-style match event - each bringing 6 players to face off in an alternate shot challenge on the simulator, putting contest and finally stein-holding competition for the first-ever Golftober Fest trophy. In the end it was PRG "Team Europe" who came out victorious to clinch ultimate bragging rights for the next two years.

Shout out to Chef Alex of Eighty-Six Standard for his creative and delectable spin on a classic - the bratwurst and sauerkraut pizza was to die for; and Nono's Craft BBQ didn't disappoint with Omar's smoked bratwurst and other BBQ favorites.

Dear Dogleg Patrons and Friends,

As we kick off this exciting U.S. Open and Father's Day weekend, I want to take a moment to personally wish each and every Father in the Dogleg family a happy and safe Father's Day weekend. Our community of Fathers has grown of late with many men, myself included, welcoming their first children into the world this year. We are getting a glimpse into what it means to be a Dad and the life-changing dedication and sacrifice necessary for the love of our children, as well as a new level of appreciation for our own fathers. We have watched so many Fathers visit our brewery over the years, and it's a joy to see so many memories made both in our tasting room and on the course with a Dogleg beer. Whether you are a new father, generational father, or father-figure, I hope you are able to enjoy this weekend with those you love doing the things you love.

Hello Dogleg Friends!

Well, the 2025 Masters was definitely one for the history books, and so was the 6th Annual Beergusta! Nick and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our first child Bennett Lumsden, who made his debut just in time for Masters week! Bennett didn’t want to miss all the weekend festivities, so he stopped by the brewery in time to watch the action-packed back nine and Rory finally clinch his historic grand slam.

Many of you in our DOGLEG community have been part of our journey for the past nine months, and we want to extend our deepest gratitude to all our patrons for your encouragement, kindness and support as we prepared to enter parenthood.

It was quite serendipitous that little Bennett arrived in time for our biggest Dogleg celebration of the year, and we are over the moon to share this monumental journey with you all. From the day we opened our doors over five years ago to this new chapter in our life, we are constantly humbled by this incredible Dogleg Brewing Co., community that supported us through a pandemic and now the growth of our family.

IIt takes a village to run a business, and it’s a privilege to serve this wonderful village and create a space for this growing community to connect over craft beer, create memories and celebrate the game we love.

BEERGUSTA 2025 RECAP

Masters 2025 - one for the record books! Everyone will definitely remember the year Rory McIlroy finally cemented his name into the record books as only the 6th golfer in history to claim a grand slam title. While Masters Moving Day made for epic golf television, we had a blast in the tasting room with our first-ever Par-3 Challenge sponsored by Powerbilt to kick things off. Thanks to Powerbilt for hooking up the winners with a set of beautiful wedges and custom Sunday bag! Plus, our friends from LAGC returned with their Dryve Box simulator experience for their own Vessel bag giveaway. Not to mention, Los Golferos was representing their rad swag, while Eagle Buff was custom stamping ball markers... What. A. DAY!

The golf community came out in force to fill up on tasty Tradition Peach Pilsner, indulge in delicious bbq and pizza and celebrate all things golf. We couldn't have asked for a better Masters finish to top off another Beergusta.

DOGLEG LEAGUE DESERT CLASSIC RECAP

Well, we got our first-ever Dogleg League getaway event in the books, and it was a weekend to remember! Twenty-two players traveled from near and far (New Mexico) to tee it up with us for the Dogleg League Desert Classic at Rams Hill and compete for the winning trophies (net & gross). We had couples, best friends, new friends and all skill levels playing at this unique, award-winning resort in Anza Borrego.

We kicked off the weekend with a hoppy hour meet and greet at the House on the Hill – Ram Hill’s coveted resort house overlooking the 15th hole and sweeping desert mountain views. After a few cold, crisp Dogleg beers, we met in Borrego Springs for dinner at Carlee’s – an awesome local dive bar and restaurant where we filled up on delicious food, hustled some pool games and sang along with the local live music talent.

Day 1: To get everyone into the competitive mindset, we started day 1 with a little putting competish. There was a 6-way tie for a brand-new Callaway putter, so a sudden death playoff determined the victor. Brian Kirkpatrick claimed the first prize of the event after getting closest to the pin on a double breaking 75-footer. Once we all had our putting dialed in, it was time to tee it up and take on Rams Hill. The fast, firm and undulating greens and tucked winds gave every player a tough challenge to start, but the winds and rain that picked up on the back nine were a true test of mental golf. Leader in the clubhouse after day one was Tyler Innes after shooting a 78 (gross) despite the challenging elements.

Day 2: Despite a few ominous clouds and a sprinkle of rain, the golf gods favored our band of beer-loving golfers for the final round of our event. Between firing away at tucked pins and tricky lag putts, we enjoyed tasty beer, tacos at the turn and great vibes. In the end it was Innes who took home the championship trophy for gross winner after firing off 78-74, along with Marcus Mayors who posted equally impressive rounds of 77 and 76 for the net champion prize.

All in all it was an epic weekend. Everyone walked away with new friendships, memories made and the itch to tee it up once more for the next Dogleg League event ��

We had a perfect day at Lomas Santa Fe Executive Golf Course for the 2nd Annual Pinehurst Challenge. The sun was shining, beer was cold and refreshing and good vibes throughout the course. Hard to believe we’re half way through summer and we’ve already had 5 events in the books this year. It’s exciting to watch this community of beer-loving golfers grow and we look forward to a few more fun events this season.

It was a beautiful day at Rancho Carlsbad and the perfect way to cap off the season! Thank you for teeing it up with us and we hope to see you at our Year-End Party on Saturday, December 3 from 12-4pm.

The duo of Baxter & Loza ultimately took home the top prize after shooting an impressive 2-under par on the tricky greens at Rancho Carlsbad. Following closely in second place was team Sebastian after carding a solid even-par 54. Rounding out the top three in a score card playoff was Hilgemann and Racz who finished 2-over par at 56.

We had another gorgeous day for our Sunday on the links! Thank you everyone for teeing it up with us for our second last Dogleg League event of the season. There were lots of great costumes out there including Average Joes, Caddyshack characters, Bonnie & Clyde and even a little birdie flying around the course.

Speaking of birdies! There were lots of under-par scores lighting up the course. Taking home the Big W on Sunday was Cachero/Gonzalez after shooting a stellar 9-under par 49 including a 5-birdie stretch on the back nine. Following closely in second place was the Morgan/Bentley duo after carding a 7-under 51.

Well, the Goat proved to be a true test of golf for the Dogleg League Championship! It was another fun filled day with outfits on point and good vibes flowing. Thank you for making our September tournament a memorable one.

It sure was a grind out there! Coming out on top with the win (Gross Division) was Nick Supple & Josh Evans, whose 1-under par finish of 64 was just enough to claim the title over Arnold Lee and Chad Difuntorum who carded a even-par 65. There was a 5-way scorecard playoff to determine 3rd place, ultimately going to Judd Parsons & Jay Montoya with a 1-over 66.

Winning the Net Division was the Ackley duo who carded an 11-under par 54 finish. Coming in second place after a scorecard playoff was Ed Cecily Winiecki with a 6-under par 59 finish.

Prizes must be picked up within 30 days at Dogleg Brewing Company's tasting room any day of the week during business hours.

It was a toasty summer day for our August Dogleg League tournament at Emerald Isle - perfect weather for cold beers, new friends and a good walk. Once again it was awesome to see new friends toasting over epic putts, old friends enjoying friendly competition and even whole families our there spending quality time together - it's exactly what we celebrate at Dogleg Brewing Company. THANK YOU once again for teeing it up with us! Meet us again for our Dogleg League Championship at Goat Hill Park on September 25th.

Now down to the scores... The slippery slopes at The Isle made a great short game challenge for the 93 players out in the field! Ultimately clinching the top spot and winning title was the pairing of Bobby Morgan and Spencer Bentley - who made the best of their first time playing in a Dogleg League tournament after firing off 6 birdies for a final card of 50. Coming in close second was TJ Jones and Andrew Cutting with an impressive 5-under total of 51. There was a 3-way tie for 3rd place between: Kurt & Kathryn Sebastian, Jeremy Sanders/Craig Garabedian, and Ian Wolinski/Dave Mattuchi all at 3-under 53.

Yesterday was one for the books, people! It was a gorgeous day at Lomas Santa Fe Executive, there were smiles all around the course and a few birdies sprinkled in there for another EPIC Dogleg golf outing. Thank you for continuing to share in our love of golf, good brews and good times!

Nick Lumsden and Jon Zeleznik carded an impressive 5-under 51 to take home the top spot and trophy, followed by Evan Kehoe and Ozzy Cruz in 2nd place after they finished with a 2-under 54. Finally, rounding out the top three was Tim Conroy and Charlie Sumner with an even-par 56.

The Dogleg Classic - Recap

Blue skies and sunshine made for the perfect Sunday Funday at Marine Memorial Golf Course! Thank you to all the players for teeing it up with us, and a HUGE thanks to the staff at Marine Memorial for providing such an awesome experience for our first-ever Dogleg Classic 2-person scramble.

Birdies were flying around the course with many groups going low for the day - a total of 10 teams shot under par! The duo ultimately rising to the top was Innes & Walton with an impressive 7-under 65 finish to claim the championship title. Following closely in a second-place tie were Lee & Fan and Kunis & Reiner with a 6-under par 66. Rounding out the top three was Anderson & Hunt with a final 5-under score of 67.

Great playing from everyone! Some came out for the competition, others came out for the brews and sunshine, and everyone was enjoying the camaraderie. To us, that's what the Dogleg vibe is all about - enjoying a game and a good brew while making new friends and spending quality time with old ones.

We hope you'll join us for our next event on 7/24, where we're teeing it up for the first time at Lomas Santa Fe Executive Golf Course in Solana Beach.

It was another gorgeous Funday Sunday for our Dogleg Leaguers - this time at Reidy Creek in Escondido. Thank you so much to everyone for joining us on the links. There were birdies flying around the course knocking out nearly every possible skin (I'm sad to say mine was knocked out on 14), except for Hole #2 where Mark Cook made a crucial birdie to take home the entire skins pot for a total of $220!

Taking home the top prize was Team Waite & Molesworth who carded a 2-under 52 with 4 impressive birdies. Following closely in second was Cornforth & McGuiness with a 1-over 55 total and rounding out the top 3 was Layden & Alex with a 57.

It was an awesome day at The Isle! The greens were slick, the beer was cold, the food was tasty, and we lucked out with another perfect, sunny day. The tournament format proved to challenge even the best golfers in the field, and ultimately the Roberts Duo came out on top with an impressive 7-under victory. They also had the only birdie on hole #5 – not a particularly tricky par 3, but the alternate shot format spiced things up for all the players.

Jeff Easterday and Mauricio Rayas valiantly defended their title from January and took home another victory after carding in impressive 7-under 51. More birdies were flying around the Garett Daniel and Paul Romaine who finished second place at 53 (5-under) and rounding out the top 3 were Lumsden/Pedery-Edwards and McGuiness/McGuinness. Honorable mention was Bryan Rusch, who made his first-ever ACE on #13 with a 9-iron in hand, taking home half the skins - $205! Well, guys and gals - what a way to cap off the Dogleg League Golf season! We had rad costumes, tasty beer, good golf and a HOLE-IN-ONE to bookend the year. Our own Ryan Molesworth had his first ever Ace on hole #9. Ironically enough, we started the season back in January with a hole in one by his girlfriend on hole #12 at Rancho Carlsbad! What are the odds!?

It was so awesome to see everyone enjoy time with their friends and make new ones along the way. We had father and son, brother and sister, husband and wife, lifelong friends and colleagues all teeing it up together - how cool is that!?

Rancho Cup Show Down

Our first-ever match play event was a huge success! In honor of the Ryder Cup, we celebrated Sunday at Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course dueling it out for the ultimate prize: Bragging Rights! The day started out questionable with a steady morning mist, but a few stormy clouds couldn't keep all you golf nuts away. The rain stayed at bay and rewarded us with a cool, crisp fall day.

We had players of all skill levels battling it out on the course, but ultimately the Blue Team came out on top with a stellar 8 points to Team Red's 4 points. They earned themselves a picture on our wall in the brewery for a year - a reminder of their hard-fought victory for all Dogleg Patrons to see. Here are the complete results:

Summer Series @ Goat Hill Park

We had a BLAST on Sunday and we hope you did too! Goat Hill was the perfect place to cap off an epic Summer Series of golf! The beers were flowin, tails wagging and good vibes radiating throughout the golf course. The golf gods treated us to a nice morning mist to start the round and by mid-day the sun made an appearance.

There were quite a few Pinseekers out on the course attacking pins and carding eagles, but the shot of the day was hit by Charlie Affourtit, who made an ACE on #2 - the second hardest hole on the entire course! Congrats Charlie!

The 5-Club Challenge at Rancho Carlsbad

The Dogleg League is BACK y'all and man oh man, it didn't disappoint! Not only did the golf gods grant us with a break in the rainy forecast, but someone had a HOLE IN ONE!

Big thanks to our hosts, Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course! If you've never been, it's a fun 18-hole par-3 track in Carlsbad. This place has it all - fun golf, a driving range, practice green, a grill and Dogleg Beer of course!

We couldn't have been more thrilled with the turn out - nearly 50 players joined us for a Sunday Funday on the links. There were novice and seasoned golfers alike: guys, gals, couples and pals! Seeing everyone out there stretching their legs, enjoying the sunshine and making new friends is exactly what this League is all about.

We wanted to put everyone's creativity and short game skills to the test, so the format was a 5-Club Challenge, where you could only play with 5 clubs of your choice. Just to spice things up and even the playing field, we made it a blind draw partner best-ball - meaning we randomly paired score cards at the end for a best ball total and to determine the winners.

The highlight of the day is when Alyssa Waite stepped up to the 12th tee - a tricky 83-yard hole with a nasty side hill pin placement - an knocked it in for her first-ever ACE! The final top blind draw teams were:
